We go outdoors in the rain, snow and / or cold
We meet, go and stay outdoors in all weather: rain, sun, snow, and cold.
Our primary goal is to spend as much time outside as possible. We usually spend 30-50 % of our days outside in Prospect Park. We will stay indoors in the case of dangerous weather: hurricanes, blizzards, or weather warnings from the City of New York. We follow the DOE calendar in terms of Snow days. Children and staff must be properly dressed for the weather.
What is Juguemos' Inclement Weather Policy?
We are an all-weather nature based preschool and plan to explore nature at its best in the sun, rain, and snow but when official weather advisories are put into place, we plan accordingly. In the event of a weather advisory, we will send an alert to families via Whatsapp and email as soon as possible or not later than 7am that day. We will go outdoors rain or shine; for us, inclement weather means dangerous conditions only, such as extreme cold, or severy wind advisories, and / or thunderstorms. In such case we will cancel the journey or will gather at our classroom and go outside for a little while if weather permits, whichever is best for the safety of staff and families.
Does Juguemos offer a make-up policy?
Juguemos a Cantar Preschool does not offer make-up classes.
